MySQL in Labs Workbench

Basic instructions for using MySQL in Labs Workbench

  • Add and launch an application containing the MySQL service
  • On the Labs Workbench Applications view, expand an application and click "View Config" beside the "MySQL" service
  • You should see MYSQL_DATABASE and MYSQL_USER, along with a generated value for MYSQL_PASSWORD
  • You can then copy and paste these values to other services that need them
  • NOTE: MySQL is not exposed to the public internet by default - you can use the HTTP Tunnel application to remotely access this service in a secure fashion
